José Magán

José Magán has extensive experience advising on financing transactions, with a particular focus on project finance, as well as acquisition finance, corporate finance and structured finance transactions. He advises both borrowers and lenders, including credit institutions and alternative financing providers.

His experience also includes cross-border transactions, advising on the structuring, negotiation and implementation of complex financing structures and multi-jurisdictional security packages.

Prior to joining ZADAL, José was Head of the Corporate and Finance Law Department at Deloitte Legal. Before that, he was a member of the Finance Law teams at Cuatrecasas and Freshfields.

José has been recognised as a Rising Star by IFLR1000 and recommended by Best Lawyers in the areas of Finance Law and Project Finance and Development.

He holds a Law degree and a Diploma in Business Studies from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), as well as a Master’s degree in Business Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues and Harvard Law School.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (membership no. 93,093).
